The autopsy of the late Kariobangi North Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), Joel Munuve Kimanzi, has officially begun at Lee Funeral Home. This follows positive identification of the body by family members and colleagues from the Nairobi County Assembly.
Speaking to the media outside the morgue, advocate Danstan Omari and Robert Alai confirmed that the body in the morgue has been conclusively identified as that of Hon. Munuve.
Danstan Omari further revealed that the postmortem is being conducted by a panel of seven pathologists. The team is led by Chief Government Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor. Other pathologists represent various interested parties, including the Munuve family, the hospital where he was reportedly taken after the incident, the Nairobi County Assembly, and the Nairobi County Executive. Additionally, two pathologists have been appointed by Embakasi East MP Hon. Babu Owino.
Robert Alai, MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, assured the public that the Nairobi County Assembly is fully represented in the postmortem process.
