Black Suitcase Used to Dump Kemunto Was Bought By Her Mum Days Before Murder.

When Sylvia Kemunto’s mother bought her a new black suitcase to go back to school with she had no idea that the same bag will be used to dump her after being killed by a fellow student on campus.

Kemunto’s mother through lawyer Danstan Omari said her daughter had complained about being harassed by a male student in school and they had decided that she would be a day scholar from next semester.

Omari says for sometime before she went back she had been operating from Kawangware to Rongai but because of exams she decided to go back to the hostel and the mother bought her a big suitcase to put all her belongings in when she finished exams.

However, barely days after leaving home she was killed by Eric Mutinda and her body stuffed in the same suitcase that her mother had bought for her.

Preliminary investigations presented in court indicate that the deceased were both first-year students at Multimedia University. One was pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, the other a Bachelor of Mathematics for Computer Science. Investigators claimed the two had been in a relationship since September 2024.

According to the police, the relationship had ended in February this year but Erick was still pursuing her actively.

However, Kemunto’s family has denied those claims saying she was never in a relationship with him but was only harassing her for rejecting his advances.

They have demanded justice for the death of their only daughter who was the first born and the only hope for her single mum to get a good life after clearing university.
