Chinese businessman who was dramatically arrested in a plane while leaving JKIA now wants the DCI boss Amin Mohamed committed to civil jail for disobeying court order that allowed him to leave.
Chen Chao who is wanted in Rwanda for alleged tax evasion and forgery had been granted bail by the court and allowed to travel to Uganda but he was intercepted at the airport and detained by police.
Police had presented him in court on November 23 and he was released on Sh 100,00 cash bail but he approached court to ask for his passport so that he could travel and the court allowed it but enhanced his cash bail to Sh 300,000 and released his passport.
However, the state went to the airport and arrested him took him to Milimani law courts before Magistrate Benard Ochoi to review the bail orders but he referred them back to Kiambu court.
Chao is now seeking for Amin to be sent to 6 months civil jail for arresting him at the airport even though he had a court order allowing him to leave.
Chao claims that he was not running away from Kenya jurisdiction but he had business to attend to in Uganda and was also heeding to summons issued to him by Interpol Uganda.
He says despite them being served with the orders allowing him to leave the country they disobeyed and went ahead to detail him in custody.
