Controversial Private Detective Jane Mugo Acquitted from Threatening to Kill Case.

Controversial private detective Jane Mugo who was charged with threatening to kill a businessman has been set free after the court acquitted her from the charge

Chie magistrate Susan Shitubi ruled that prosecution had failed to prove its case against the controversial spy.

She said there was glaring inconsistency in the testimony of the two witnesses presented by the prosecution.

According to the first witness, Jane uttered a threatening word to the complainant Deepa Shah that she would shoot her.

The witness told court that Mugo said ‘or can I use this’ pointing to her waist indicating the pistol she had logged in her waist.

The court also dismissed witness statement that Mugo had a pistol during the altercations.

Instead,Magistrate Shitubi found that the alleged pistol was not recovered when police raided Mugo’s residence.

She noted the inconsistency by witnesses who were not cross examined left the court juggling on who to believe, but left with only option believing the defense side.
