The pre-trial case in the matter where two directors of TRV Towers were charged with stealing Sh 112 million from the company has been adjourned to January 13 next year.
This is after the DPP told Court that they were not ready to supply evidential materials to the defense hence sought an adjournment.
Lawyer Justice Mutava for the company opposed the application for adjourned further saying TRB Towers wanted to make an application for the court to enhance bond terms for the two accused.
Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi allowed the adjournment to give TRV Towers time to make their application which has since been served to the ODPP and the defense for review of bond terms for accused directors.
In the case, Tribhovan Anlalji Chavada and his son Jayesh Rribovan Chavda both directors of TRV Towers limited were charged with stealing Sh 112 million from the company.
According to the charge sheet, on diverse dates between October 18, 2019 and July 31, 2023 Tribhovan allegedly stole Sh 112 M, money which came to to his possession by virtue of his employment as the managing director TRV Towers.
He was also charged alongside his son Jayesh Rribovan Chavda for allegedly conspiring to defraud TRV Towers limited Sh 112M.
They both charged with another count of unlawfully making Bank of Baroda account opening documents purporting them to be genuine.
They were released on a Sh 200,000 and Sh 150,000 respectively which the TRV group wants enhanced.
