Environment CS Soipan Tuya has moved to court seeking to get her estranged boyfriend to pay upkeep for their two kids aged nine and four years.
In a petition filed at the magistrate court in Nairobi, Tuya has further accused her husband who walked away from the marriage of being abusive.
Tuya says she cohabited with Stephen Kudate from 2013 to 2020 when he moved back to live with his wife.
She says since then she has been carrying the burden of the kids upkeep and school fees all alone and she needs him to cater for half.
According to court papers, Kudate was cruel and abusive to Tuya and even as late as last year, he insulted her through message and even denied paternity of the two kids.
She wants the court to bar him from accessing any of her homes in Karen,Kileleshwa and Narok which she says she purchased using her own money.
She wants physical custody of the minors given to her but Kudate can have supervised visitation.
She wants him to pay half of the school calculated at Sh 335,000 for the two kids per term and Sh 100,000 for monthly upkeep for the kids.
Tuya has claimed that during their cohabitation her ex manifested total inability or reluctance to communicate with her and was often moody, uncaring violent and thankless.
He is also said to have assaulted the domestic staff not Tuya alone.
She tells court that they are all living in fear due to his past and present behavior that’s why she wants a restraining order against him.
