The trial of alleged fake lawyer Brian Mwenda who was charged last month has been set for March next year.
Mwenda appeared before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina for the mention of the case to confirm whether the defense had been served with witness statements.
Lawyer Danstan Omari for Mwenda told court that they had been served with witness
statements.
“Your honour I confirm that we have been served with witness statements and inventory now we are ready to take hearing dates,” Omari said.
Onyina set the hearing date for March 12.
In the case, Mwenda has been charged with six counts related to forging a practicing certificate and certificate of admission.
