Five men who are alleged to have abducted and defiled a teenage girl in an Air BnB have been detained to allow police conclude investigations.
The five suspects whose age is yet to be established by police Patrick Kamau, Ian Chege, Ismail Mohammed, Adnan Hussein and Abdirahman Ahmed.
Police told court that the minor was rescued from an Airbnb by detectives in Nairobi West where the five suspects were arrested.
At the time of arrest, the said Victim and the five suspects seemed to be under influence of drug abuse.
Police reports claim that the mother to the minor reported that her daughter went missing on December 7, 2024.
She tried tracing her back through her friends but her efforts proved futile. She then sought police assistance leading to the rescue of the said child from an Airbnb with preliminary investigations showing that she had been defiled.
Police arraigned the suspects in court seeking an order to detain the for fourteen days to finalize their investigations.
However the court granted them only five days to conclude their investigations.
