Four Wells Fargo employees charged with stealing Mobile phones on transit worth 7 M.

Four Wells Fargo employees were on Monday arrainged and charged before a Milimani court with stealing goods of transit worth Sh 7 million.

The four George Maingi Mutea, Justus Kyalo Muthama, Joel Kiamba Ndirangu and Mary Njeri Njau appeared before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubo and denied the charge.

It was alleged that on diverse dates between April 20 and May 24, 2024, they conspired to steal a parcel on transit by Fargo Courier containing 100 pieces of cell phones make Oppo Reno 11 valued at Sh 7 million.

According to the police, the said phones were to be delivered in Nairobi to DegBarre but the four accused persons stole the parcel instead.

They denied the charges and pleaded with the court to grant them reasonable bail terms saying they are from humble backgrounds.

Magistrate Shitubi released them on a Sh 3 million bond with an alternative cash bail Sh 1.5 million each.
