Government pathologist Johansen Oduor fined 0.5 million for failing to appear before senate.

Government pathologist Johansen Oduor will pay a fine of Sh 500,000 for failing to appear before senate committee investigating Shakahola deaths.

Committee Chair Danson Mungatana said they had summoned Odour to appear and testify on the exhumation but he has not come.

Mungatana said there has been no communication from Oduor or police as far as execution of the summons is concerned.

“While we understand the logistical difficult for Mackenzie we don’t understand why Johansen refused and he must pay the fine personally. Senate plenary to give way forward.” Mungatana said.

A warrant of arrest had been issued on Friday last week but Oduor has not heeded to the summons.

Oduor has been the lead pathologist in the Shakahola deaths.
