Governor Nyaribo fights back says he will not be threatened to resign

Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo has today fought back against those who have been calling for his resignation or impeachment.

Speaking at the function in Nyamira, Nyaribo said he had not done anything wrong and so he will not be threatened by anyone.

The County boss said he is open to talks with the MCA’s in a bid to find the way forward.

He said he is focused on delivering for the people and he maintained that he will not be threatened by anyone.

This comes on the heat of a threats by the MCA’s to impeach him for sacking the CEC Health Timothy Ombati.

28 out of 33 MCA’s had all ratified the decision to impeach the governor saying they would vote yes.

Nyaribo sacked Ombati for allegedly causing him embarrassment by not distributinh drugs to all county hospital which the CEC has strongly denied saying he was fired illegally.

Ombati has since moved to court seeking the court to order Nyaribo to reinstate him to office.
