Governor Nyaribo in Hot Soup After Presenting Fake Academic Profile to Senate Committee.

Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo was put on the spot by the senate committee to explain why he lied that he was a certified accountant who previously worked for the World Bank.

Nyaribo who was appearing before the senate committee chaired by Senator Moses Kajwang had a hard time explaining how the fake profile was put in the financial statement along with his picture.

Kajwang was the first to notice the accolades saying “I can see Governor Amos Nyaribo is a holder of a bachelor of commerce finance option and a chartered accountant. We are struggling here with audit issues and the governor is an accountant?,”

He wondered if the person he was reading on the profile was the same as Nyaribo because he was struggling with questions on finance.

Kajwang further probed saying the profile was in one of his financial statement which even even went ahead to say that before joining the county leadership he had previously served a senior economist with the World Bank group.

The county boss distanced himself from that saying he has a masters in Finance and has never worked at World Bank.

Senator Okon’go Omogeni further pushed the governor to tell them who forged the said financial statements.

“Who faked the profuse of governor? Who takes responsibility its a serious crime to tender false information before a committee. Who did this Governor,?” He posed

However, Nyaribo said other than forwarding I don’t take financial statements and it’s our finance department who prepared the document

Further raising concerns as to whether he read through the document because his signature is there on the paper.

The senators said If the governor’s description is wrong then it will be a problem
