History as Pastor Mackenzie to be first inmate to ever testify in parliament before a senate committee.

Pastor Paul Mackenzie who is alleged to have ordered his followers to fast leading to deaths of hundreds in Shakahola will be the first inmate to ever appear before parliament.

This is a first as it has never happened before in the history of our nation where an inmate is escorted to parliament to testify before a committee.

Mackenzie is expected to testify tomorrow before the Ad Hoc senate committee chaired by Senator Danson Mungatana that is investigating the Shakahola massacre.

The Committee has ordered the prison authorities to facilitate Mackenzie’s summons by escorting him to parliament on Tuesday morning where he will testify.

This comes days after New Life Church Pastor Ezekiel Odero appeared before the committee and distanced himself from Mackenzie saying he did not know him on a personal level but only met him once when he wanted to buy a TV station from Mackenzie.
