Kasarani DCIO summoned for not presenting DJ Brownskin’s file to court.

Kasarani DCIO Paul Makonge has been summoned for failing to bring DJ Brownskin’s case file to court for hearing of case where he is accused of assisting his wife commit suicide.

In the case, Brownskin real names Michael Macharia Njiiri, is accused of assisting his wife Sharon Njeri’s suicide on July 29, 2022.

When the case came up for hearing today before Milimani principal magistrate Gilbert Shikwe, neither the police file nor the investigating officer were present in court.

The court heard that the investigating officer in the matter had been transferred.

Lawyer Duncan Okatch expressed concern saying the matter was delayed as it was the second time the hearing was not proceeding.

The court noted that today was the second time the police file missing.

When the case came up on April 3, the court summoned the investigating officer to appear with the file.

The magistrate noted that the case was of public interest matter and questioned why there was no police file and no witness in court.

The court then issued summons to the DCIO to appear in court in June and explain why.
