Late President Moi’s youngest grandson has no money for Sh 2.5 M surgery, mother claims.

Late President Daniel Moi’s youngest grandson has no money to go for surgery at a cost of Sh 2.5 million which his mother says the executor has refused to release.

Faith Milka Nyambura says her son Gift Moi is one of the sons to late Jonathan Moi who is now also deceased.

While addressing the media outside court on Monday, Nyambura’s lawyer Duncan Okatch said the child is suffering and the estate executors are not responding.

Okatch said for one year they have been following up the matter in court but nothing has been done and young boys condition is deteriorating day by day.

He said this has led his mother to resort to creating a paybill number to raise funds for the surgery.

She has challenged the manner in which the will left by the late President Moi is being executed.

Nyambura, says Gift is in urgent need for surgery in Washington DC while other children need to be enrolled to school yet the family of the late Second President is unwilling to support them.

She has asked the Court to order Sylvia Jonathan Moi and Clint Kiprono Moi to deposit within fourteen days all income generated in the his estate.

According to court records, Gift and his siblings were recognized as beneficiaries of the late president’s vast estate.
