A man from Tana River who allegedly defiled his nine year old step daughter will now spend the rest on his life behind bars after he was found guilty of the offense.
Mohamed Komora Said was convicted of the offense of defilement on September 30 and last week the court sentenced him to life in prison.
Resident Magistrate Benson Kabanga said after all considerations the court had sentenced him to life imprisonment.
According to police report, he used to lure the minor into sexual activities when the mother was away.
In the case, The prosecution, through Michuki Alfred, called 6 witnesses who testified and established a case against the accused person.
The court heard that the victim who was mentally challenged was defiled by the accused on the September 4 2022 and the sister to the victim testified that on her way from school during tea break she found the accused sleeping on the victim.
The victims mother also testified that she returned home and found the victim crying and upon examination she noted that her clothes had blood stains and this was collaborated by medical evidence.
