Man who stole Akothee’s ATM card and withdrew over 700K has been charged.

A man who is alleged to have stolen Esther Akoth aka Akothee ATM card and withdrew over Sh 700,000 has been charged with stealing.

Simon Kipngetich Tonui was charged before Milimani chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina where he denied the counts.

It is alleged that on 7th August this year at unknown place stole ABSA business Debt Card inthe name of Esther Kokeyo valued at Sh 460 the property of Esther Akoth Kokeyo.

Tonui is facing three other counts of stealing by withdrawing different amounts of money from an ATM in Dohnholm.

In total the accused is alleged to have stolen over 700,000 shillings at Absa Bank ,Caltex Dohnholm ATM Lobby

He pleaded not guilty and was realesed on a cash bail of 100,000 cash bail.
