Ola Petrol Station Manager Arraigned in Court for Alleged Theft of Sh 10 Million

Elizabeth Murugi Wamocha, a manager at Ola Petrol Station, was arraigned before a Milimani court on Monday, facing charges of stealing Sh 10 million from the company. She appeared before Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe and denied the charges.

According to the prosecution, Wamocha, while serving as the manager of the Ola OTC branch in Nairobi, allegedly stole Sh 10,977,414 between September 1 and October 7, 2024. The money is said to belong to Samuel Wachira Wanja, the owner of the station, and was allegedly misappropriated by Wamocha in the course of her employment.

In her defense, Wamocha pleaded with the court for lenient bail terms. Magistrate Shikwe granted her a cash bail of Sh 200,000 as she awaits the next court proceedings.

The case is set to continue with the court examining the evidence against her.
