Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Ministry has been summoned by the senate over the Shakahola massacre where more than 100 people died.
In the summons by Clerk J. M. Nyengene, the adhoc committee investigating circumstances into the Shakahola massacre wants Odero to appear before it on Friday 13 at Senate chambers.
Odero has been told to carry with him the registration and compliance status of New Life Prayer Centre, his ideologies and beliefs as a church.
The committee further wants the pastor to explain to them his association with Pastor Paul Mackenzie and the circumstances surrounding the sale of Times TV which belonged to Mackenzie.
Odero will also be required to explain the source of funding of his church.
The pastor has been warned that if he fails to appear the committee will fine him Sh 500,000 or order for his arrest.
The committee says it’s investigating the circumstances leading to the death of followers of Pastor Paul Mackenzie and the role he played in aiding and abetting the deaths of his followers.
