Sarah Wairimu Cohen’s lawyers on Monday put up a spirited fight in a bid to persuade the court to release her on bail after being charged with the murder of her late husband Tob Cohen.
Wairimu through lawyer Nick Ndeda told court she is not a flight risk neither has she approached any potential witnesses.
Ndeda said Sarah who had initially been acquitted from the murder charge has a home and so she can be reached at if need be.
He also asked the court to consider the fact that she had been granted a bail of Sh 2 M in the other case and she never absconded up until the case was withdrawn
She accused the state of chasing her out of her matrimonial home which she shared with her late husband.
The court will rule on February 18 whether she will be granted bail or not.
