Suspect in Briton’s Death Taken for Mental Assessment Before Plea Taking.

The court has directed that the main suspect in the murder of British National Campbell Scott be escorted to hospital for mental assessment before he takes plea.

Justice James Wakiaga directed the DPP to take Alex Kithuka for mental assessment at a mental hospital to determine his suitability to stand for the murder trial.

The state has until April 7 to bring back the suspect with the report on his suitability.

Alex is believed to be the occupant of a rented house in Pipeline area in Nairobi where Scott is said to have been lured and killed before his body was transported and dumped in Makongo forest in Makueni County.

The suspect will remain in police custody until April 7, 2025 when he will take plea over the alleged murder charges.
