A man believed to be part of a drug syndicate was on Monday arraigned before a Mombasa court where he was charged with trafficking heroine worth over Sh 600,000.
Brian Oduor was charged with trafficking in narcotics before Magistrate Rita Orora and denied the charges.
Oduor was charged with a second count of trafficking Bhang in the same area of Mwembe Tayari.
According to court records, Oduor was arrested along Mwembe Tayari area in Mombasa County with the suspected drugs.
The prosecution objected to his release on bail arguing that if he is released, he may interfere with the investigations because some of his associates are yet to be arrested.
The case will be mentioned on Monday next week for pre bail report.
