A US national who was arrested at MP Shah after checking in following him swallowing several pellets of cocaine will be charged today for drug trafficking.
Jarod Tyler Roberts was taken to MP Shah hospital by friends after swallowing the pellets which led to his arrest.
He is expected to be charged this morning at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with drug trafficking.
The police told court that Robert’s checked into MP Shah Hospital, Westlands, under the care of his friends, complaining of abdominal pain after allegedly ingesting substances suspected to be narcotic drugs.
Last week, police said the US citizen was placed under close observation with two police officers on guard after it was discovered that he had drugs.
Three pallets were recovered from the suspect’s rectum through an endoscopy procedure. He later emitted one more pallet on the same day.
