Viral woman caught on camera threatening her landlord because of her stolen clothes has been charged

The woman who went viral over the weekend after a video of her hurling insults at her landlord surfaced online was on Wednesday charged with threatening to kill him.

Ann Muthoni Maina was arraigned before Kibera Chief Magistrate Ann Mwangi and charged with threatening to kill.

It was alleged that the confrontation between Muthoni and her landlord started when she raised the issue of theft of her clothes with her landlord within the apartment in Kawangware but things got heated when she started abusing him and threatening him.

According to the charge sheet, Muthoni on February 17 at Kawangware Legacy Apartment threatened to kill Olav Stryn Kala Jorgensen, by uttering the words,” I will get my gun and blow your brains out, I will kill your, bring my gun,”

She was charged with a second count of creating disturbances contrary to the law for abusing and shouting at the apartment.

According to the police report, Muthoni wanted to know how her clothes were stolen and she sent her son to inquire from the landlord.

However, upon reviewing of the CCTV footage by the landlord there was no one spotted stealing the alleged clothes.

Jorgensen then went to meet with her and inform her that he didn’t see anything and that’s when Muthoni lost it and started abusing and threatening him.

She denied the charges and was released on Sh 200,000 cash bail with an alternative bond of Sh 300,000.
