A woman who is at the centre of a divorce case with her millionaire husband has now come out to deny ever attempting to kill her mother- in- law who was staying with them.
Scholastica Wamucie Kimani is in the middle of a nasty divorce case with her estranged husband Shakir Mohammed Merali who has filed for divorce from her.
Last week, Wamucie told court that Merali had locked her up in their compound alone for days and disappeared with the keys leading the magistrate to order police to break in and rescue her.
In a new affidavit filed in court, Wamucie has denied hitting her mother-in-law with a hammer on her head and injuring her.
Through her lawyer Danstan Omari, Wamucie says on that day in July this year while her husband was away in South Africa his mother fell and hit her head but claimed that she was the one who had hit her.
She claims that she was in the house with her son and mother-in-law at night watching movie.
Then the mother went to sleep in her room and a moment later while in the kitchen she heard a loud thud and upon checking her room she found her bleeding from the back of her head.
When she tried to help her Wamucie claims she be a hysterical shouting that she had been hit by a hammer by her.
Wamucie claims that later after she was checked by the doctor, he ruled out the possibility of her being hit by a hammer saying maybe she was hallucinating.
“It’s not uncommon for old people when they suffer some kind of fall or a trauma wound to be confused to the point of hallucination,” reads court documents
