Woman masqueraded as TSC official and conned 300,000 from a graduate charged.

A woman who posed as a Teacher Service Commission official in order to defraud a Graduate by lying to her that she would help her secure a job of a teacher has been charged.

Beautris Mutwa Nzambu was arraigned before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi and charged with obtaining money by false pretenses.

It is alleged that she obtained Sh 350, 000 from Faith Mbone by lying that she would help her secure a job at the Teachers Service Commission.

It is alleged that on diverse dates between July 9th and 10th 2024 in Nairobi within Nairobi County, she fraudulently obtained Ksh 350,000 from Faith Mbone by pretending that she would facilitate her employment at the TSC a fact she knew to be false.

She denied the charges with the defense pleading with the Court to release her on lenient bond terms saying she does not have any previous criminal record.

She was released on Sh 250,000 with an alternative cash bail of Sh 150,000.
